The application period for the 2026-2027 Pfizer Sickle Cell Scholarship Program is now open! Building on our commitment to the community, Pfizer began the Sickle Cell Scholarship Program in 2024 to provide financial support to students living with sickle cell. The goal of this program is to empower individuals to pursue their academic goals and alleviate some of the financial burden of education. To be eligible, students must: Have been diagnosed with sickle cell disease (trait does not apply); Individuals with sickle cell who have received a transplant or gene therapy are eligible to apply Reside only in the continental United States; Meet one of the following criteria: Be a high school senior in a school in the United States; Have completed high school or an equivalent (eg, general equivalency diploma (GED); or Be currently accepted to or enrolled in a junior college, college (undergraduate or graduate), or vocational school Submit a completed application and appropriate materials before the application deadline. Scholarship winners are selected based on a combination of academic achievement, letters of recommendation, and a personal essay. The application must be received through email by the program administrator no later than Friday, May 29, 2026. Winners will be notified in July 2026.
